East Joppa Mart & Jet Flying Son Of A Gun Successfully Appeal, Fines Reduced
East Joppa Mart & Jet Flying Son Of A Gun both submitted appeal videos this week for previously levied fines, and were successful!
The League announced Friday afternoon that East Joppa Mart’s 7th round draft pick has been returned and its fine reduced to a 10th round pick.
Here is the statement from East Joppa Mart:
“My actions that day cannot be forgotten nor minimized and following the core values of the League is paramount for each and every one of our successes. I am sorry for potentially costing one of my fellow owners (Jillian) a shot at glory as I sat on my ass for the 8th year in a row on the loser’s bench. I am also extremely contrite for putting the League at risk of the potential loss of sponsors like Costas Inn, and Natural Light, who share the League's core values in equally high standards.”
As for Jet Flying Son Of A Gun, its Player Acquisition Budget fine of $15.00 has been reduced to $10.00.
Jet Flying Son Of A Gun had this to say in his appeal video:
“Echo, turn my Zoom lights on. Thanks. I am extremely appreciative of the opportunity to appeal this fine and do so with the utmost remorse for my actions last season. I crossed the line of fairness and honor and have learned an invaluable lesson through it all. I’d like to thank Commissioner Il Duce for his patience while I took some time to reflect and repent. I promise to do better going forward. The Commissioner is a kind leader and role model to us all.”
The decisions by the League will take effect immediately. East Joppa Mart will participate in Saturday’s Draft without a 10th round pick, and Jet Flying Son Of A Gun will begin its 2021 season with a $90 Player Acquisition Budget.
